VR Surface Cleaning Experience
Overview:
Our client needed to commission a VR application that could replace a tradeshow exhibit for a client’s new coating technology for their appliances. Before they had to transport 20+ physical stoves with baked-on food that cost them thousands of dollars to bring them to each showing. For one event, all units had arrived damaged which caused the customer a logistical nightmare.
We worked with our client to provide them an immersive experience that could replace the physical units and lessen costs.

The Problem
Physical units were the most direct way to show case potential customers how the product put them above their competition. The logistics of moving around so many units, coating them with food and space availability made the entire process difficult.
Our Solution
We developed a VR application that educated the user on the difference between a typical competitor’s product and their unique coating that allowed easier clean up. The user had 30 second session to clean a mess that was untreated and another session to try with the treated surface. The ease of cleaning was immediately clear to the customer and they had fun while doing it.
The next version also included a library of videos detailing another appliance they wanted to explain the technology about. It was informative and paired well with the scrubbing game content.
Recorded natively on the Meta Quest 3 Headset with Passthrough Mode on.
The Results
The tradeshow feedback was immensely positive and generated more foot traffic for the customer as they were curious to see the experience for themselves. They could also view others playing it via a nearby screen that showed exactly what the user was seeing in the headset.
LWS provided all the development, optimization, testing, quality assurance and deployment on the Meta Quest 3. It deployed to 3 headsets that the customer was able to take with them to various tradeshows.
